IDP's SMART-70 COMING SOON - the high capacity card printer from IDP, is ideally suited to users who have high-capacity needs or for end-users who would like to secure their credential media in the securely locked printer. The 70 Series offers a unique modular design that is easily field upgraded by the end-user. Configurations vary from single sided only printing to a fully configured system with dual sided printing, lamination and 500 card stackers.
MANUAL CLEANING: The SMART 50 Series printers now has a Manual Cleaning Mode!!! This is ideal for networked printers (Casino applications and similar) because there is no need to have the printer directly connected to a computer via USB. When the printer is due for a cleaning the “Do Printer Clean” message is displayed automatically on the LCD Panel. Previously, the only way to execute the “Clean Printer” Wizard was through the driver, which requires a USB connection to a computer it is installed on. The Manual mode allows you to put the printer into Cleaning Mode via the two LED buttons on the front of the printer. To do so, just open the Top Cover, press and hold both LED buttons simultaneously until “Cleaning Mode Remove Ribbon” is displayed on the LCD Panel. Simply remove the ribbon, insert a Long Cleaning Card (MPN: 659008) into the input hopper, and close the top cover. The cleaning will begin automatically! It’s that simple and User-Friendly!!
PHYSICAL LOCKS: Printing high value cards? Secure the cards and the ribbons in the SMART-50S, D, or the Laminating SMART-50L. The new physical locks secure the supplies and close the manual card feed slot. This enhances the standard locks currently available on the SMART-50L's laminator.
