Shipping & Returns

CANCELLATIONS: Your order begins processing immediately after you place your order. During the order processing time, it may be possible to cancel your order. However, once the order moves into the production process, it cannot be cancelled.  In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel your order, you can contact ID Enhancements, Inc. at or by phone at 1.800.279.4560 to attempt to cancel your order.  ID Enhancements, Inc. does not guarantee that any order placed can be cancelled. If you have changed your mind about the order and it is too late to cancel, it may be possible to make a return in accordance with the Return Policy. Custom-printed products also carry a non-refundable setup charge that is assessed once your proof has been produced.  

For orders requiring additional information from the customer, we will hold the order for a maximum of two weeks before cancelling - making every effort to obtain the information.  If the information is not obtained, the order will be cancelled and refunded in full.

RETURNS: Did you order something you don't need?  Perhaps you decided against your purchase. You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, minus a 20% restocking fee (or more depending upon the return condition of the return).  Non-defective items must be returned "unopened" in their original packaging. Product must be returned un-used, in new condition, and returned in the original packaging with all parts and packing materials.  The restocking fee will be determined upon inspection by our returns department. 

Returned items will be carefully inspected and, if in our opinion, the merchandise has been used, damaged, has missing parts, or has been altered or damaged in any way, no credit will be issued.  The purchases assumes responsibility for shipping charges incurred to return unacceptable merchandise.  You will be contacted by email with the return decision, and if not accepted, your product can be returned to you at your expense. Equipment left with ID Enhancements, Inc. for over 90 days without payment will become the property of ID Enhancements, Inc.

Non-Defective returns are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. This does, however, exclude all custom-encoded access credentials. Access credentials are custom-encoded per your specifications and are not returnable.  

All returns must reference an authorized RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization). When returning a non-defective item purchased online, simply login to your account; view the order using the "Completed Orders" link under the My Account menu.  Click the Return Item(s) button. An RMA will be generated and emailed to you with RMA Instructions. You will be notified via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the RMA.  Should an exception be made for a purchase that is outside of the 30-Day Return Policy, the product is subject to a 40% Restocking Fee, and a 50% Restocking Fee if not returned in the original packaging.  NO REFUNDS. Credit toward future purchases only.

Non-customized, photo ID products sold in a "sealed package" may be returned if the package has not been opened or tampered with. This includes, but is not limited to, printer ribbons, cleaning kits and other photo ID products. If the "sealed package" has been opened, the product is not returnable. Applicable restocking fees will be still be assessed.  Credits issued against returned products are only applicable toward future purchases. 

Customized access credentials can only be returned in the event the product ceases to work. Returns for "dead products" are covered under the Lifetime Warranty for that product.  Returns of this nature require an authorized RMA.  Any products deemed non-working will receive a credit toward a future purchase.  Product refunds against credit cards are not provided.  Any order for customized product, cancelled AFTER a proof has been provided, will incur up to a $250 artwork charge (dependent upon what product was ordered).  "Value-Added Services" are not refundable.

Some items are shipped with an RFID tag for identification. This tag is not to be removed. Should the tag be removed, this voids any warranty associated with the product and deems the product NON-RETURNABLE.

In instances whereby customized product requires sequential numbering, and web orders contain mismatched start and ending numbers - the start number will be used. 


SHIPPING: Our shipping terms are FOB: Hartsville, SC. This term means that the buyer takes responsibility once the goods leave our shipping dock.  Under these standard terms, shipments are prepaid and insured in the event of loss or damage.  Should you wish to utilize your own freight account, insurance is recommended to ensure against loss or damage.  Waiving your right to this insurance is not recommended. *WE NO LONGER SHIP 3RD PARTY, due to the carriers recent surcharges for 3rd Party Shipments.

Shipments that are refused for delivery and returned to ID Enhancements will have any charges incurred with refusal, deducted from the amount of the product credit. When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page. PRIMARY proximity products ship within 48 hours (two business days); PREMIER products ship the same day.  Order cutoff is 2pm EST, Monday thru Thursday; and 10am EST on Friday.  In the event you order a PREMIER and a PRIMARY on the same order, the order will be shipped following the PRIMARY conditions (shipment within 48 hours). 

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page.  To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.  Items sold as "FREE SHIPPING" are only shipped via Ground Service, and only applicable to the contiguous USA.  ID Enhancements, Inc. reserves the right to change a freight carrier if adverse weather conditions are anticipated, and a delay in shipment is foreseen; or if the transit time can be reduced by altering the carrier.  No rate reimbursements or extra charges will be issued.

In the event your shipment is undeliverable, or must be re-routed to another address or suite number, a $25 surcharge will be assessed to the order, and will be due and payable upon contact.  For claims regarding non-delivery or mis-delivery of products, IDE must be notified within 45 days from the date of the order. 

REFUSED SHIPMENTS: Credit for refused shipment will be issued once the product(s) are received and verified at our warehouse. Restocking fees shall be applied and unjustified refusals.  

PRICING ERROR:  Pricing is subject to change without notice.  If an item is priced incorrectly, you will be contacted and presented with the corrected pricing and option to proceed, or option to cancel.  

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY:  Products listed online have a corresponding "Availability".  This availability is an approximation of when your item will ship. This availability excludes transit time.  Availability is subject to change without notice, dependent upon stock inventory levels and manufacturer dropship requests.  Should your need be critical and time sensitive, contact Customer Service at 1.800.279.4560 to confirm inventory stock level.

PROMOS/COUPONS:  Promo codes cannot be used in combination with other discounts, coupons, promotions, shipping specials or other promo codes.  Even if a code is accepted at check out, all orders are reviewed by our Customer Support team prior to fulfillment. If orders are deemed in violation of any of these Terms and Conditions, they will be adjusted accordingly.  Promo codes can not be applied after order is submitted.  IDE reserves the right, without notice to the holders of the promo codes, to modify the terms and conditions for use of the promo codes, or to suspend or cancel the promo code program in whole or in part.  

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: All international shipments are subject to freight adjustments. In the event your freight charge needs to be adjusted upwards, you will be contacted prior to processing.  We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products. All international orders must be prepaid via bank transfer, wire transfer or Paypal prior to processing. Orders paid via Paypal will ship ONLY to a confirmed shipping address.  Credit cards are not accepted for orders outside of the United States. Domestic orders (paid via credit card) must be processed using a United States issued credit card. Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer - not ID Enhancements, Inc.
