Description
The Adams Rite MS1850S-450-628 MS® Hookbolt Deadlock is a commercial-grade maximum-security locking solution designed for sliding narrow-stile aluminum doors. This configuration features a 1-1/2" backset, hook-shaped laminated stainless steel bolt, flat faceplate and 628 clear anodized finish. The hookbolt design helps resist attempts to spread the door away from the jamb or lift the door from its track.

Unlike a conventional straight deadbolt, the MS1850S hookbolt extends into the strike and hooks into the frame when locked. This configuration is specifically designed to help secure sliding aluminum doors against the spreading and lifting forces commonly used in forced-entry attempts.

Adams Rite MS Series deadlocks do not include a cylinder. When a keyed cylinder is required, Adams Rite specifies a 1" mortise cylinder with an MS / Adams Rite-style cam. Confirm the door preparation, backset, strike and cylinder requirements before ordering.
The hookbolt version of the Adams Rite MS1850S Series can be used with the HES 1006 electric strike equipped with the appropriate R faceplate option, making this configuration useful when an existing MS hookbolt opening needs to be integrated with an access control system.
