Description
ALARM CONTROLS TS-15 Pneumatic Time-Delay Request-to-Exit Switch
The ALARM CONTROLS TS-15 is a narrow-stile pneumatic Request-to-Exit switch designed to temporarily release an electrically controlled door for convenient entry or egress. Pressing the guarded push button activates the pneumatic timer and keeps the connected door release circuit active for an adjustable period of approximately 2 to 60 seconds. When the selected time expires, the switch automatically returns to its normal state so the door can relock.
Because the pneumatic timing function requires no external electrical power, the TS-15 provides a simple and reliable timed-egress solution for access control systems, electromagnetic locks, electric locking hardware, and other compatible door-control applications.

Adjustable Pneumatic Time-Delay Operation
Pressing the TS-15 push button activates an internal pneumatic timing mechanism. The connected relay contacts remain in their activated state for the preset period, allowing compatible electric locking hardware to remain released long enough for a person to pass through the opening.
After the selected delay expires, the switch automatically returns to its normal contact state, allowing the controlled door to secure again. The timing interval can be adjusted from approximately 2 seconds to 60 seconds to match the needs of the opening.
No Power Required for Timing
One of the primary advantages of the TS-15 is its mechanical pneumatic timer. The timing function does not require a separate power supply or electronic timer module.
This simplifies installation while reducing the number of powered components required at the opening. The electrical contacts can then be integrated with compatible access control, locking, or door-release circuits.
N/O & N/C Contacts
The TS-15 provides one normally-open and one normally-closed isolated contact set, giving installers flexibility when integrating the station with different door-control circuits.
This allows the pneumatic switch to be incorporated into compatible systems using electric strikes, electromagnetic locks, access control panels, door controllers, or other equipment requiring a timed dry-contact input.
Narrow-Stile Stainless-Steel Design
The TS-15 is the narrow-stile version of Alarm Controls' pneumatic Request-to-Exit station. Its approximately 1-3/4" wide 302 stainless-steel wall plate makes it particularly useful where installation space is limited or where a narrow mounting surface is preferred.
The faceplate is clearly screened “PUSH TO EXIT” and incorporates a small 1/4" push button surrounded by a protective guard ring to help reduce accidental activation.
Typical Applications
- Request-to-Exit applications
- Electromagnetic lock release
- Electric locking hardware
- Access-controlled doors
- Commercial building exits
- Office and institutional facilities
- Healthcare facilities
- Schools and universities
- Narrow-stile door and frame applications
Installation Notes
- Mount the pneumatic switch in the vertical position
- Use an electrical box with adequate depth for the switch body
- Timer adjustment is accessible at the pneumatic mechanism
- Clockwise adjustment increases the time delay
- Counterclockwise adjustment decreases the time delay
- Maximum delay is approximately 60 seconds
- Minimum delay is approximately 2 seconds
