Windshield Installation Considerations
The WS-UHF-0-0 should be permanently attached to the inside surface of the windshield. AWID recommends testing the tag location before removing the adhesive backing, because windshield construction, embedded wires, metallic coatings and vehicle electronics may affect UHF performance.
For best results, the credential should have a clear path toward the long-range reader and should be positioned consistently across vehicles. AWID identifies the upper-center area of the windshield as a preferred location in many installations.
