The Camden CM-9800/3 is a heavy-duty, surface-mount capacitive Push-to-Open switch designed for automatic door activation and other commercial door control applications requiring high visibility, durability, and dependable operation. Featuring light-touch capacitive technology with no moving mechanical switch parts, a large illuminated LED ring, adjustable relay timing, and rugged IP66 weather-resistant construction, the CM-9800/3 is an excellent choice for demanding indoor or outdoor entrances.
The CM-9800/3 uses capacitive touch technology, allowing the switch to activate with only a light touch. Because there are no traditional moving push-button components, the design helps reduce mechanical wear while providing smooth, dependable operation.
The large activation area also makes the switch easy to locate and operate at commercial entrances, automatic doors, and accessibility-related openings.
A large illuminated LED ring makes the switch highly visible, even in lower-light environments. The LED can be configured for red, green, or orange illumination and can be controlled by the switch itself or through an external input.
This allows the switch illumination to indicate activation status or, when appropriately wired, provide door or lock status feedback.

The CM-9800/3 combines a rugged die-cast aluminum alloy housing with an IP66 protection rating, making it suitable for locations where resistance to weather, vandalism, and frequent use is important.
Its illuminated surface and simple Push-to-Open message also make it easy for users to identify the activation switch quickly, while the capacitive sensor eliminates the need to physically depress a mechanical push button.
The built-in relay timer can be adjusted from approximately 0.5 to 60 seconds, allowing installers to customize how long the relay remains active after the switch is touched.
A toggle ON/OFF mode is also available for applications that require maintained switching rather than timed activation.
Backlighting and the audible buzzer can be enabled or disabled through DIP switch settings, giving installers additional flexibility when configuring the switch for a particular doorway or facility.
The unit also includes a tamper function for enhanced security in exposed installations.
