Security Film, Not a Printer Ribbon
The 84501 is HDP retransfer film, not a YMCK color ribbon. In a Fargo HDP printer, the card image is first printed in reverse onto the HDP film. The film is then thermally transferred to the card surface.
With the 84501, the transferred layer also includes the High Secure Orbit holographic pattern, helping combine image transfer, card-surface protection, and visible security into one consumable.
