The IDP SMART-51D 651406B is a professional dual-sided direct-to-card ID card printer built for organizations that need dependable, high-quality employee badges, access control credentials, student IDs, membership cards and other personalized plastic cards. It prints standard CR80 cards edge-to-edge, combines fast full-color output with a durable metal-frame design, and automatically flips cards for coordinated front-and-back printing. This bundle combines the network-capable SMART-51D with the kit supplies and a USB camera for photo capture, making it a practical all-in-one badge issuance package.
The SMART-51D uses dye-sublimation and resin thermal-transfer technology to produce sharp photographs, logos, text, barcodes and other cardholder information. Its automatic duplex mechanism prints both sides without requiring the operator to manually reinsert the card, helping streamline everyday badge issuance.
Color and monochrome printing are produced at 300 dpi, while supported monochrome modes can reach higher effective resolutions for detailed text and line work.
