The KEYSCAN® CA8500 Access Control Panel is a powerful enterprise-grade 8-reader access control solution engineered for commercial, institutional, industrial, and enterprise security environments requiring scalable multi-door management and advanced network connectivity. Designed to optimize system design while reducing overall cost-per-door, the CA8500 delivers high-capacity access control performance in a flexible, network appliance-based architecture.

Supporting up to 8 card readers and/or keypads, the CA8500 provides a centralized access management platform with support for 32,000 cardholders, 16 auxiliary inputs, and 8 auxiliary outputs. Easily configurable reader settings support standard Wiegand protocols, making the panel compatible with a wide variety of commercial access control readers and credential technologies.

Built with dual multi-threaded onboard processors, the CA8500 maintains full operational functionality even during system downloads and updates, helping ensure continuous access control reliability. Integrated diagnostic system status LEDs simplify troubleshooting and installation servicing, while multiple communication options including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Internet, and RS485 provide flexible deployment capabilities for complex security infrastructures.

The complete Keyscan® family of access control units includes 1-door, 2-door, 4-door, 8-door, and elevator floor access control panels that can be mixed and matched to optimize system scalability and installation requirements. The CA8500 package includes:

The system requires two 16VAC 37VA or 40VA transformers and one 12V 7Ah battery for operation.
