The SCHLAGE CO100-MS70KP-SPA-626 is a commercial-grade standalone electronic mortise keypad lock that provides PIN-code access without requiring a network connection, access control panel, cards, or separate credentials. Designed for storeroom / classroom function applications, this CO-100 configuration combines a durable mortise chassis with a keypad reader, Sparta lever, and 626 satin chrome finish.

Standalone Electronic Access Without a Network
The Schlage CO-100 is designed for openings where electronic access control is desired without installing a networked access control system. All user information and programming are stored directly at the lock, making the CO-100 especially useful for individual doors or groups of independently managed openings.
Administrators can add or remove user PINs, change programming settings, and manage the lock directly through its keypad. No credential-enrollment computer, programming software, network cable, or separate control panel is required for normal operation.
Up to 500 PIN Users
The CO-100 stores up to 500 unique PIN credentials directly in the lock. User codes can contain between 3 and 6 digits, allowing administrators to issue individual codes instead of distributing additional mechanical keys.
Unique PINs can simplify employee access changes because a user's code can be deleted at the lock without rekeying the door or collecting a physical credential.
Three User Authority Levels
Schlage provides multiple levels of programming authority so access and administrative functions can be controlled appropriately.
- Basic user access
- Manager-level programming
- Administrator-level programming
Available credential attributes include normal use, toggle, pass-through, and freeze functions.
70 Storeroom / Classroom Function
This CO-100 is configured with Schlage's 70 storeroom / classroom function. The lockset is normally secured from the exterior, and an authorized PIN allows electronic access through the outside lever.
When required, an authorized toggle credential can change the lock between secured and passage states. The inside lever remains available for egress, allowing users inside the room to exit without entering a PIN.
Battery-Powered Convenience
- Powered by four standard AA batteries
- Batteries are included with the standard lock configuration
- Up to approximately 2 years of battery life
- Flashing LED provides battery-status indication
- No dedicated electrical wiring required for normal lock operation
User Feedback & Fast Verification
- Keypad credential verification in 1 second or less
- Tri-color LED status indication
- Audible programming and status indicators
- Visual indication for access granted or denied
- Mechanical key override capability
Commercial Grade Mortise Construction
The CO-100 electronic platform is built around Schlage's commercial locking hardware and is designed for demanding institutional and commercial openings. The mortise configuration meets or exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000 Grade 1 requirements.
Schlage also lists the CO-100 platform as UL 294 Listed, UL 10C 3-hour rated, and ADA compliant. The 70-function CO-100 is rated by Schlage for full outdoor applications, including appropriate exterior openings such as pool gates and breezeways.
