The Viking Electronics K-1700-3-EWP is a rugged handsfree entry phone with a built-in keypad, designed for apartment entry, residential gate access, customer assistance stations, ATM locations, security phones, and other applications requiring a durable vandal-resistant speaker phone. This model includes Viking’s Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP), making it a stronger choice than the standard K-1700-3 for outdoor areas exposed to rain, humidity, condensation, or harsh environmental conditions.
When the Call button is pressed, the K-1700-3-EWP returns dial tone and allows the keypad to dial a programmed or permitted number. The unit can automatically disconnect when call progress conditions are detected, including busy signal, CPC, return to dial tone, maximum call time-out, or silence time-out. It may also be disconnected by pressing the Call button again, depending on configuration.
