Reliable Emergency Call Routing
The Viking E-1600-50-IPEWP can be programmed with as many as five emergency telephone numbers. If the first number is busy or does not answer, the phone can cycle through the programmed backup numbers to improve the likelihood that an emergency call reaches an available responder.
Calls may be terminated by a busy signal, programmable time-out or touch-tone command. The phone’s non-volatile memory retains telephone numbers, location information and other programming parameters without requiring batteries.
Automatic Location Identification
During an emergency call, the E-1600-50-IPEWP can deliver a prerecorded digital announcement identifying the phone’s location. It can alternatively transmit a programmed DTMF touch-tone identification code. This capability is especially important in elevators, parking structures, campuses and other properties containing multiple emergency call stations.
Enhanced Weather Protection
The EWP designation identifies Viking’s Enhanced Weather Protection option. EWP products are engineered for environments where the equipment may be exposed to precipitation, condensation or high humidity and are designed to meet IP66 ingress-protection requirements.
Depending on the assembly, EWP construction may include protective gaskets, sealed connections, gel-filled connectors and potted circuit boards. The finished custom panel and surrounding enclosure must also be properly designed and sealed to preserve the intended environmental protection of the completed installation.

Installation and Ordering Guidance
This SP568 configuration does not include a call switch. The installer must provide a compatible momentary activation switch as part of the custom finished panel. Confirm switch type, wiring, LED requirements and panel openings before ordering or fabricating the enclosure.
The E-1600-50-IPEWP is a parts kit for installation behind a custom panel; it is not a complete surface-mounted emergency phone enclosure. The finished panel must provide the appropriate openings for audio, visual indication and user activation while protecting internal components.
Before purchase, verify the available PoE network, SIP compatibility, emergency-call routing, custom-panel design and all local elevator, accessibility, fire and life-safety requirements with the system designer or authority having jurisdiction.
