Description
The Camden CM-336/41W SureWave™ Touchless Switch provides convenient, hands-free automatic door activation without requiring control wiring at the switch location. This battery-powered model features a built-in 915MHz spread-spectrum wireless transmitter, adjustable infrared sensing range, a black double-gang faceplate, and a hand icon with clear “WAVE TO OPEN” graphics. It is an excellent choice for automatic door installations, ADA entrances, access control systems, and retrofit applications where installing new wiring would be difficult or expensive.
The CM-336 combines touchless infrared sensing with built-in 915MHz wireless transmission, allowing the switch to communicate with a compatible Camden Lazerpoint RF™ receiver without running control wiring from the switch to the door operator.
This makes it particularly useful for existing buildings, finished walls, glass entrances, and other locations where new wire installation would be costly or disruptive.
The CM-336/41W operates from two AA batteries, with Camden estimating up to approximately four years of battery life based on 100 activations per day when using alkaline batteries.
A built-in low-battery alarm and battery test gauge help maintenance personnel identify battery condition before the switch is taken out of service.

One of the strongest advantages of the Camden CM-336 wireless touchless switch is its ability to upgrade an existing push plate or door activation switch without running new control wiring. The battery-powered sensor transmits activation commands wirelessly to a compatible receiver, helping reduce installation time and disruption.
Camden specifically recommends the CM-336 for door activation applications where installing wiring is difficult or expensive and for the replacement of existing non-powered switches in retrofit projects.
