Description
DESFire | NXP MIFARE® DESFire® EV3 8K ISO Cards
No Imprinted Number / No Slot Indicators
Create a clean, professional credential without visible factory markings using NXP MIFARE® DESFire® EV3 8K ISO Cards with no imprinted number and no slot indicators. Unlike standard smart cards that may include a printed serial number or black slot-punch reference marks, these CR80 credentials provide an uninterrupted card surface for organizations that require a polished, consistent appearance.
Each card incorporates an NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 8K contactless IC operating at 13.56 MHz. The high-capacity 8K memory supports sophisticated multi-application programs, while advanced security capabilities—including AES-based authentication, secure messaging, transaction protection, Secure Dynamic Messaging and a configurable Transaction Timer—make DESFire EV3 suitable for modern access control, campus, healthcare, government, transportation and enterprise credential systems.
Key Features
Why Choose a Card Without Factory Markings?Factory numbers and slot-location marks can interfere with an otherwise clean credential design. Removing those markings provides more flexibility when positioning logos, company branding, barcodes, QR codes, sequential numbers and other authorized variable information. These cards are especially well suited for professional credential programs that require consistent visual presentation across multiple locations, departments or cardholder groups. The unmarked surface is also helpful when a card design must remain uncluttered or when the organization prefers to control the placement of its own visible numbering. Recommended Applications

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “no imprinted number” mean?
The card is supplied without a visible factory-printed card number. This creates a cleaner appearance and allows the purchaser to control whether and where authorized sequential numbers, barcodes or other variable information are applied.
What are slot indicators?
Slot indicators are small printed reference marks that identify a recommended slot-punch location. This product does not include those marks, providing a cleaner and less cluttered card surface.
Why would I choose cards without factory markings?
Cards without factory markings are commonly selected when appearance and design control are important. The uninterrupted surface prevents a factory number or slot mark from competing with logos, branding, barcodes, QR codes or other authorized card elements.
How much memory does this DESFire EV3 card provide?
This credential provides 8K Bytes of nonvolatile application memory. The larger capacity is well suited to multi-application programs requiring separate files, keys, access rights and secure services on one card.
What is the difference between DESFire EV3 and DESFire EV2?
DESFire EV3 builds upon the EV2 platform and adds or enhances capabilities such as Secure Dynamic Messaging, the Transaction Timer and improved transaction security. Final feature availability depends on the way the credential and reader system are configured.
Does this card support multiple applications?
Yes. DESFire EV3 uses a flexible application and file structure that can support multiple independent services on one credential, subject to available memory, key management and system programming.
Will any 13.56 MHz reader read this credential?
No. Frequency alone does not establish compatibility. The reader must support MIFARE DESFire EV3 or a compatible DESFire operating mode, as well as the required keys, application structure and security settings.
Can these cards be slot punched?
We do not advise punching this particular card, as no slot indicators exist. Slot punching should only be performed after confirming a safe punch location. Because contactless cards contain an internal antenna, punching in the wrong area can permanently damage the credential.
Are these the same as MIFARE Classic cards?
No. MIFARE DESFire EV3 and MIFARE Classic are different credential technologies with different security, memory and programming architectures. They should not be treated as direct substitutes without confirming reader and system compatibility.
