The HID MicroProx Tag programmed in H10304 37-bit format with facility code 249 is designed for access control systems that require a fixed credential structure with a defined and limited card number range. In this format, both the bit configuration and facility code are predetermined, meaning all tags must align with the specific sequence of card numbers assigned to facility code 249. This ensures consistent system recognition, but also makes it essential that any replacement or expansion tags match the exact format and facility code to maintain compatibility.

Although the 37-bit structure offers a larger overall numbering capacity than standard 26-bit formats, the use of a fixed facility code limits the usable credentials to a controlled pool within that facility, requiring careful management when adding new users. The MicroProx tag’s compact, adhesive-backed design allows for discreet placement on items such as ID badges, mobile devices, or equipment, while still delivering reliable 125 kHz proximity performance. This makes it an ideal solution for environments where format precision, limited credential range, and low-profile form factors are key requirements.
